Da Vinci makes vanilla, but I don't see maple in their flavors. Any idea of a brand of maple? Trying to not use extract as it has corn syrup.
Thanks!

Da Vinci makes a SP pancake syrup (maple) but I think it's way too runny. I prefer Smuckers SF maple.

So I guess I could use this instead of maple extract in recipes (flax muffins, etc.)? What do you think...?
Thanks!

The flavor of the syrups isn't as concentrated as extracts, so I suppose it depends on the recipe. I *think* if you get pure extracts they are additive free.

Thanks Becki. Watkins online sells lots of flavored extracts that contain no sugar. I'll get a couple of bottles there, as I use maple flavoring in a lot of cooking.
Cheers!

Frontier makes great extracts. I'm a big fan of their maple. :yum:

I get them at a natural foods store.

Thanks Karen! I'll check at Whole Foods to see if they carry these. (I needed some maple quick, so I ordered last night).
Have a super day!

Here's an idea from Kristine:
You can buy maple extract and add that to melted butter.

I'm looking for maple flavoring for baking and such, not for syrup. Seems what I ordered from Watkins is made with suger. That'll teach me for not checking beforehand. Seems the Frontier doesn't, but I'll check with them first.
Thank again everyone.
