I bought a nice looking boneless chucksteak today... but I do not know the best way to cook it. I can obviously barbque it but is that the best way? I could put it in a crockpot and do something with it, but what? LOL any recipes, suggestions would be appreciated!

I normally don't make chuck steak, isn't it thicker than regular (sirloin) steak? If it is, then you'll probably either want to roast it slower or use a crock pot. Do you have a basic cookbook to list temps/times? I just add pepper, garlic powder or small cloves inserted into the meat, some basil, and a little water if roasting/crocking. If you can broil it, what i do with steak after it's broiled is put about 3 oz. (a palm full) on a salad, although it's higher in fat that chicken or fish. But it's yummy sliced, heated for a moment in the microwave, and put on a salad with some Balsamic vinegarette for a super lunch!! Good luck

i do chuck steaks or chuck roasts often!!! line a heavy pan with heavy duty alum foil. season the roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder. cut up a little onion (if on induction --watch the onions cause high in sugar) also cut up red and green peppers and add all to the top of the roast. add a smidgen of salt to the veggies. now pour on a little low sodium beef broth around the bottom of the pan around the roast. cover tight with foil and bake at 325 until nice and tender - est. a chuck steak about 1-1/2 hours and bake a large roast about 2 hours - 2-2/2 hours. slice and serve. it freezes well too incld. the peppers. enjoy!!
