Hi. I'm one of the many who have gone through the agony of losing a lot of hair as a result of the weight loss. I've researched the matter thoroughly, and have been trying to add (or take away) anything that will help restore my hair to its healthy state.
I've read that excess amounts of the following can result in hair loss:
1) Vitamin A
2) Vitamin E
3) Iron
4) Selenium
I pose the following question to anyone who might know the answer: "How much is TOO much?"
I'm willing to bet that everyone is at LEAST over 100% with many vitamins and/or minerals. These are my DV percentages for the aforementioned:
1) Vitamin A - 546%
2) Vitamin E - 1300%
3) Iron - 92%
4) Selenium - 214%
Are any of those levels too high? Additionally, if anyone knows of any other supplements that can cause hair loss at high doses, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
W.M.
