coconut oil (not the refined, bleached and deodorized type though)

Generally, the more highly saturated, the better/safer for frying. :thup:

For deep frying, that's going to be expensive. I don't deep fry for that reason. But I use coconut oil and clarified butter for cooking practically everything.
