I have a recipe that I would like to try and convert to low carb but have never done this type of thing before. Maybe someone could help me?
What I need to know is:
replacement for 2 1/4 c. flour
replacement for 2/3c. brown sugar
replacement for3/4 c. granulated sugar

Do I use almond meal for the flour and if so do I use the same amount of almond meal as it calls for flour? For the Brown sugar do I replace that with brown sugar twin the same amount? and the granulated sugar replace with splenda the same amount?

The recipe calls for 2 large eggs is that alright if I use the almond meal?

there are other ingredients but they don't have to be replaced.

This is a cookie recipe I won't say the name as I do not want to infringe on copyright laws.

Thank for any help that you can give me.

It's pretty difficult to substitute low carb ingredients in a high carb recipe. What's easier is finding an existing low-carb recipe for what you want to make and tweaking it.

It sounds like a cookie recipe that you're making?

Thanks Karen,
Yes it is a cookie recipe, and I haven't really found any low-carb cookie recipe that I REALLY like, I have found O.K. ones, that I why I would like to try and convert the one I have, so I guess I really would like to know when one converts do you use cup for cup, tsp for tsp, etc.? I know it its trial and error but basically is that what one does?, and then go from there adding or subtracting if the first try didn't turn out? As I say I have never tried this and would like to so just wanted to know more or less the basics of converting. TIA
