Congratulations AfroBob! Awesome results. The rest will come. IT may be slower, but it WILL happen.

And what's wrong with headless low carbers? Who's the third???

Stina in her wedding dress! The picture is early on in her journal.

Nothing's wrong with headless low-carbers. We have low carbers that have heads but no bodies here too.

Maybe I should post a picture of my foot, just to keep it interesting! ;)

Well, here I am ... And let me say that VERY few people have seen my "fat" picture. It is from about 5 years ago ... the "lean" picture is from May 2001. I have a whole gallery of in between/transition pics, but these get the point across.

I am still working on it though ... Never happy ...

Here I am at my highest ... a sloppy 235 - 240 ish ...

OMG what a difference!

...and still there is no head :daze:

And ... the "after", well, the "current" anyway ... LOL

I couldn't figure out how to get them both in the same post so I took up two posts ... sorry ...

Trainerdan...

I looked at your stats....is it an error or are you actually working on gaining....and thus your fat picture would show your success???

At my worst, I was 230-240ish and fat .(I have no idea of my bodyfat percentage when I started, but about 6 months into it I was 26% and I had lost quite a bit).

Then I started working out and watching my diet ... then I found low-carb ... I got down to about 185 and decided that I wanted to "muscle up" ...

So ever since, I have been adding muscle. My goal is to be 235 - 240 at a low percentage of bodyfat (10 - 12%) all year round. When I want to get ready for beach season, I can drop that down to 225 at 8% or so.

As far as my stats go, I wasn't sure how to do it. I already hit my fat loss goal ... but my current weight is higher than my original goal. So I put my current goal up there since that is what I am chasing now.

You know me, always have to be the difficult one ...

Actually, the stats can work either, for gaining or losing. It simply calculates the progress from start to goal based on the current weight. In the case of members who first lost weight, and then gained muscles, they simply chose which one they want to reflect in their stats, and one logical choice is to reflect the latest project, either the losing path, or the gaining path. :)

Congratulations on your weight loss. You said you gained 10 lbs. back. Was that because you went back to eating carbs?

i was thinking i was the only self conscious one, i had posted my before and after in my introduction an then i got what me and my friends call selfconciousness attack couldnt sleep, thinking that so many people were looking at my pic and surprisingly the after picture is the one that was mortifing me, i dont know why. so i did the cowardly thing and deleted:bash: i hope i can get over it some day.

Afrobob - you STAR!!

you must feel so much better now. Its seeing things like this that make me realise WHY its best to stick with your diet. Sometimes if ive lost a pound or 2, i feel slimmer in my head rather than in my trousers, and have a blowout (willpower - what willpower?!!)

Good luck to you bob, and by the way, love your trousers!!

Yes City Gent! Afro Bob was a success story.

What happened? He sadly treated this way of life as a diet, and gained back weight.

His last post is here:

Afro Bob (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=205269#post205269)

Low carbing is not a quick fix!

Yeah, I see your point!

Bob, if you're out there still, look at your own photographs again.

You of all people know this WOE shows results - what else is there to say? if you need to lose it - lose it.

All the best,

Steve
