I was wondering if there would be any way to perform a search to cull out dessert recipes (if any) provided by members who are on CALP/CAD rather than Atkins. They're all delicious looking, but Atkins desserts seem a bit rich in cream or cream cheese and favor Splenda and other AS. I've scrolled through so many--but most posters seem to be on Atkins.

Can I frame the search parameters to look for "CALP" or "CAD" desserts?

Thanks!

You can do it by narrowing the search to the Sweet Treats Forum and using the words "CAD CALP" for searching.

As I recall, there are not a lot of desserts that meet the criteria you have as all of them use artificial sweeteners. What kind of desserts are you you looking for?

Hi, Karen~

In answer to your (most reasonable!) query, I'm looking for a treat that isn't too overloaded with cream cheese (or marscapone or heavy whipping cream) as the main ingredient--that's #1. And #2, equally difficult, I'd like ideally to find desserts sweetened with stevia extract (pure) powder, although I expect I can convert that myself from Splenda or other AS.

Primarily, I guess I'm hoping to find a bit of variety away from the traditional (but certainly yummy) Atkins-style desserts, which seem to center in many cases on the creamy dairy (for understandable reasons). I don't mind using dairy, but perhaps in more reasonable quantities within the recipe (as a CALPer, dairy in quantity stalls me or even puts on weight!).

I'll search as I you suggest and see what I come up with! Thanks a lot...

Best, sona

This recipe looks like a good possibility

You could nix the cream cheese and use soy milk instead of cream. It could be baked as a small cake instead of muffins.

Here's a few more

Bless your heart, Karen! They all sound lovely, and I'm sure I can try them out and then even play with them--use them as a base and create a few different versions, as I've seen others do with recipes here.

Thank you so much!
