Reading some of these quick snacks, I have to share what I do. ( it's almost embarassing)
When I make sugar free jello..I dip spoonfuls of it out while it is soupy.. :o That tastes soooo good to me!
Also..Lime SF jello with whip cream tastes JUST like Lemon merengue pie ( to me anyways)

I use the SF orange jello and add cream to it for that creamsicle taste!

sf jello - yes! pretty, fun, tasty, and reminds us of when our moms used to fix treats for the family.

When I was a little kid my mom always had to mix up a little extra jello so I could have a warm glass fresh from the pan. This may be a Southern thing...my mom learned her cooking in rural Virginia. Thanks for the post...I hadn't thought about that for years!

I grew up in the midwest and used to get a small glass of warm jello too. (Although I think it really stems from not having a big enough bowl to chill it in!)

and I'm from Seattle, and we used to get a few spoonsful before it went in the fridge. Red's my favorite.

Isn't it interesting that we call "Red" a flavor when we refer to Jello or Kool-Aid? ;)

I found a light whipped cream spray (in the can) that has about 1 carb per seving. What's the advantage of using heavy cream over this? Does it have less carbs?

Generally, I'd say go "lowest carb" - but you might check to see what kind of fat (is it real dairy, animal?) they've used...and avoid trans-fats or partially hydrogenated...

I love canned real whipped cream. It's so easy and pretty to serve. Food is more appetising when it's pretty.

My husband told me how proud he is of me on this WOE - he said I don't complain or whine or anything, and I'm really doing it thoughtfully - well, when food is tasty, filling, flavorful, plentiful, and pretty, who would complain?

KKNoCarbs:

Heavy cream has less carbs than the light cream. Be careful, some heavy creams are slightly sweetened so watch the label. Some brands have 1 carb per tablespoon, some have less than 1 carb per tablespoon, just depends.

The light stuff is great on strawberries. when I get a craving, I grab two or three strawberries and spray a small amount of light cream on the top. Yum! :yum: Craving goes bye bye.
